Get Ready With Mermade (GRWM) Morning Hair Routine

For the curly haired girls who always run out of time in the morning to do their hair. This simple tutorial will help you switch up your everyday hairstyle and tame that frizz. Here at Mermade HQ, we love the confidence great hair gives us, and we want you to leave the house feeling like you can take on the world - just like us!

Here’s how we are using our Mermade hair tools to smooth out those natural, luscious curls and create that effortless, everyday wavy blowout that everybody wants:

1. Section and Blow Dry Hair

Start with freshly washed hair and use our Mermade Claw Clip in Pink to section out your mane. Blow-dry each section using the pre-styling drying attachment from our Interchangeable Blow Dry Brush.

EXTRA TIP: For the best results in the least amount of time, we recommend using our Styling Primer to prep strands. (We don’t have forever to get ready in the morning!).

2. Lightly Comb Out Curls

When hair is about 90% dry, lightly comb out curls to prepare hair for heat styling. Our Detangle Comb is perfect for brushing through thick, curly hair without causing any tangles or breakage.

3. Wrap, Brush, REPEAT

Time for the fun part! Using the Interchangeable Blow Dry Brush, switch from the drying attachment to the 60mm Volume Head. Starting at the roots, place the brush underneath your hair and work your way down slowly. As you go, gently pull and twist hair away from your face to create that bouncy curl and voluminous look.

HOT TIP: For thicker, curlier hair, use a high heat setting. For thinner hair opt for a lower heat setting.

4. Extra Step: Tame Any Remaining Friz

If you have a bit of extra time in the morning, and want that super smooth look or need to tame extra frizz and flyaways, this step is for you! Using our 28mm Straightener, dial up your perfect heat setting.

REMINDER: The thicker and frizzier your locks, the higher the heat setting should be. Starting at the roots and grabbing about a 1-inch section, secure the clamp and slowly glide down the hair, twisting the straightener as you go to maintain those big voluminous curls!
